Geraldton Wax, Chamelaucium uncinatum

This amuses me because M and I are not gardeners and have really not given any of our plants much care at all. I think it was a good idea to have native plants in our yard. They are hardy and are suited to our environment, and best of all don’t need much water. We have two Geraldton Wax bushes (the second one is flowering too, but not as fully as this one), and three Callistemon (bottlebrush) plants. Originally M planted four Callistemons (Callistemon vinimalis, I think) but one has died, we think due to the weed killer that M used to kill the weeds that were taking over the paving.
Sleepy this morning. I gave in and did some work on my RSS article last night. I’m glad I had a look at it, because I realised that I needed to reinstall EndNote [edit: URLed 13 July 2005]. (Somehow I forgot about EndNote when M put a new hard drive into my computer, and so I’ve lost my Applied Linguistics library. I still have all the journal articles and books, but I am lacking the motivation to input 200 references into my new library – ugh!) I’ve now input the articles that I hope to use as references into an EndNote library. So I haven’t got my article yet but by golly I have references!
Hopefully I make it until 8pm this evening – have a class to teach that finishes at that time. This evening’s class was requested by a lecturer for his research students. It should be a good class because these students are usually keen and interested and have lots of questions. And before the class another lecturer wants me to spend some 15 minutes with his class, reminding them of the principles of referencing.

That middle bit about your research etc. As a whole I understood what you are trying to say – sorta. But if you asked me what all the individual terms meant, I have no idea. Hahah….
Dang, sorry that didn’t make sense. I blame it on being sleepy :O <-- yawning
Same with me… ho-hum. But your Ger Wax pic be pretty!
Sorry guys, does it help with the link to EndNote in there?
I could write about EndNote in more detail, I suppose.. It is a substantial part of my job…
Nice pic CW but that’s not fair! You mean they just grow wild in your front yard?
Israd, no, they don’t grow wild in our yard – we bought the plant from a nursery and planted it there 🙂 They are however native Australian plants so they do well in our garden, natives being completely acclimatised to the weather (extreme heat and limited water in summer, sandy, poor soil) we have here. They are also kind of tough so we don’t have to do much to help them survive. I can’t wait until the bottlebrush flowers!
