Forgot to mention this yesterday: M and I went to Shafto Lane on Friday night, to see if SuperNova has reopened (scroll to bottom of post) yet. Well, we walked all through Shafto Lane, but didn’t manage to spot the shop. It didn’t help that it was pretty dark, and that I couldn’t recall the number the shop was supposedly reopening in (number 8, reportedly). This just means we will have to check it out again some other time, I suppose.
We went on to White Dwarf, and M bought Iron Sunrise by Charles Stross. As it is a sequel, to Singularity Sky, I am reading that first.

CW how big are bookshops there? Is it something like Kinokuniya?
Israd, here in Perth we have NO bookshops anywhere near as big as Kinokuniya. Funny you should mention Kinokuniya as I have been thinking about writing about it for some time now – it is my favourite bookshop! SuperNova, when it existed, filled a small room, and its current replacement, Tim’s White Dwarf is also in a small room.
