For the last few days I haven’t been listening to the news on the radio in the mornings and have been listening to music instead. The Well-Tempered Clavier (Book 2) and Music from the Penguin Cafe are more soothing than listening about foolish people getting caught with drugs in their purse (they must be stupid, Little Johnny says so!), and all the other tales of woe out there. It doesn’t help that I sometimes wonder what we are not being told. Take the Saga of the Piano Man, for instance. Now it turns out he was not some piano genius but was only capable of hitting the same key over and over. *yawn*
Reading blogs is at least more interesting/less depressing, and I don’t feel as annoyed when I find out how much they have been embroidering the truth. I suppose I expect more of “professional” journalists. Stupid of me, I’m sure.
As usual, Dilbert says it all. In other news (har har), apparently WordPress is now offering free blog hosting! (From Macvaysia) Apparently it’s currently invite-only (a la Gmail), and as each user only has one invite to spare, unless anyone reading this at the moment has a spare invite, I won’t be checking it out anytime soon. But hey, if you do have a spare invite… 🙂
Speaking of Gmail, I do have 150 Gmail invites flapping in the breeze doing nothing, so if you do want a Gmail invite let me know!
