Posting’s going to be scant (non-existent) this weekend as M and I are going Down South for a couple of days. (I always love how West Australians talk about Down South – usually referring to places like Margaret River, Up North – referring to Broome, the Kimberley, and so forth, and Over East – everything non-West Australian! )
We are actually going to be in Tambellup for their 81st annual town fair. M is going as a juggler and I am going as his faithful groupie.
It should be an interesting weekend. I am quite keen to see what a town that “is about as small as any town reasonably can get without disappearing“, looks and feels like. There is going to be a scarecrow competition, a cake stall, balloon sculpting, and a fair few jugglers, among other things. We get to sleep in a shearing shed for the night.
We’re bringing the camera and this time I am going to do my best to use all the photo opportunities that come up. Really!

Awesome, sounds like a fun trip. Looking fwd to the pics. 🙂
And yeah I love all that up, down, north, south, east, west business. 🙂
Hope you have a good trip. Change of scenery should be refreshing.
I keep on forgetting that Australia is a huge continent and there are other places besides Sydney. When I hear Australia, I picture that opera house at the harbor.
Have fun!
