Are these really the best book to movie adaptations of all time? I don’t know about that, but here is my list of the ones I have read [B], and the ones that I have seen [M]. [BM] means I’ve read the book and seen the movie. Inspired by Jason Kottke’s post.

Kottke says he finds it “easier to watch movies than to read books”. I think I actually prefer to read books rather than watch movies, but still, I have read thirteen of these books as opposed to having seen fifteen of these movies, and I have only read and seen four titles.
