Just heard the sad news that Reg Bolton passed away on the weekend.
Rest in peace, Reg. You were such a warm, vibrant and friendly person, and a wonderful ambassador for circus skills. I’ll miss you, as I’m sure many in Western Australia will.
My condolences to his family and friends.
Update 23 July: A public funeral service will be held on Saturday 29 July at St George’s Cathedral, Perth. More details here. Thanks to Sirexkat for the pointer!
Update 27 July: An obituary in the Guardian. A public noticeboard has also been set up to remember Reg. A big celebration of Reg’s life will take place on Sunday 30 July from 12.30 – 2.30 at Camelot (indoor) Theatre, 16 Lochee Street, Mosman Park.

Oh, how sad! RIP
And I only just found his shop the other month(from this blog), and wanted to check out one of his shows or workshops at some stage!
Thanks for letting us know.
Everywhere I go with my unicycle people come up to me to chat and inevitably mention Reg, either from his shop or from experiences in schools with him when they were younger. I am constantly amazed how many lives he impacted in our community. He will be sorely missed.
I’ve been thinking on how much of a positive life he led by building up our community while entertaining them as well. What better way is there to live your life than to build the community around you and to inspire people to greater things.
Reg lived a good life and I have a lot of admiration for his achievements. Again, he will be sorely missed.
I think many people will remember Reg for what he gave to our community.
