The weekend was supposed to be mostly free, apart from having to work on Saturday morning. I’d hoped to finish reading a couple of books and maybe write a few blog posts and comments, work on conference presentations, Wikipedia entries, fiddle with the lint blog?
Instead I ended up doing lots of little chores, spending some time with different members of my family, sleeping, reading The Scar by China Miéville (still unfinished – I think China Miéville is a new favourite author, but how do you pronounce his surname?), and not spending much time on the computer at all, apart from playing a bit of Civilization IV: Warlords.
Maybe I was too ambitious. It’s been good to have the time to unwind and not achieve anything on a list.

Which is why my weekends are a blank slate, and I have no lists. But I guess it’s easier for a single guy.
Not that I achieve much of substance anyway, but there’s something to be said about being idle after a week of hectic activity at work.
Weekends… with or without lists of idle activities
*deep sigh of longing*
🙂
Hi Mooiness, yeh, I saw your post about your weekend. I think you’ve got the right idea 🙂
Toxic Purity, think of all the years of taxi services you have ahead of you… oops, is that too mean? 😛
