International Blog Day

Happy International Blog Day!

If you’d like to participate, it’s quite simple really:

  1. Find 5 new Blogs that you find interesting
  2. Notify the 5 bloggers that you are recommending on them on BlogDay 2005
  3. Write a short description of the Blogs and place a a link to the recommended Blogs
  4. Post the BlogDay Post (on August 31st) and
  5. Add the BlogDay tag using this link: http://technorati.com/tag/BlogDay2006 and a link to BlogDay web site at http://www.blogday.org

(The BlogDay blog seems to be very slow at the moment, probably because everyone’s trying to look at it, so I thought I’d repost the instructions here)

My five, in no particular order:
1. Tropic Temper
This is Glenda Larke’s blog. Glenda is a writer (mainly in the fantasy genre) living in Malaysia. I’ve read and enjoyed Glenda’s Isles of Glory trilogy and am now enjoying reading her blog as well (and looking forward to reading more of her work)!

2. The Zenformation Professional
I find this blogger’s perspective refreshingly different. Yes, he’s a librarian.

3. The Breakfast Blog
Because I do most of my blogging in the early hours of the morning, and this blog is a perfect accompaniment to my usually meagre-in-comparison breakfasts.

4. Rebecca’s Pocket
An oldie (this blog has been around a long time) but a goodie. I don’t know how Rebecca always finds such good stuff to share.

5. Two Peas, No Pod
The blog of a vegan (among other things) couple in Canberra. They always make me think.

Found it very difficult to just choose five – there’s so much great blogging going on out there. This is my second blog day and I’m pleased to report that I still read last year’s selections!

Thank you so much. It is a real honour to be included in your list and very flattering of you to say that we make you think. That is one of the best things about reading blogs in my book – being exposed to new perspectives and opinions.

Pleasure, Cristy. Looking forward to hearing more about the third pea… 😉
