I’m not sure how this week is going to go. Today and tomorrow are going to be busy days, mainly because I’ll need to do five days’ work in two days, before the conference begins on Wednesday. And we’ll be having lots of visitors from interstate in the library, today and tomorrow.
Unfortunately it looks like it’s going to be a wet week this week. The weather bureau is forecasting showers:
Wednesday: A shower or two. Minimum 10°C (50° F) Maximum 20°C (68°F)
Thursday : Showers, windy. Min 11°C (51.8°F) Max 20°C (68°F)
Friday : Few showers. Min 13°C (55.4°F) Max 17°C (62.6°F)
At least it’s not going to be particularly cold.
Apart from the weather I’m wondering whether or not to bring my Tablet PC to the conference. I think there’ll be wireless access in the Perth Convention Centre, but I don’t know how much it will cost and in any case last time I checked the wireless card on the Tablet was kaput. Also, do I want to lug the Tablet around with me all day?

Here it’s “warm and breezy Min 22 Max 25”. Gee whizz I’m really missing the Perth weather. 🙂
Glad you caught up with Tom and Sarah. Say hi from me to any liblogarians you meet at the conference.
Good luck with your presentation(s) and the conf.
Now…should I go for a swim, play mini-golf, jump on the giant jumping pillow or just lounge about and read mindless fiction?
Hi CW,
Just wanted to wish you lots of good luck for the conference. I didn’t realise you’d be at the convention centre – that’s hard core! After all your preparation, I’m sure you’ll be a star (of a librarian/blogging kind, but a star nonetheless!) and I hope your audience will be as wowed and inspired as they should. 🙂
Note to Sirexkat: the giant jumping pillow, of course (I am rolling my eyes like ‘der’). Oooh, but mindless fiction! Tempting.
Thanks, Sirexkat (and stop trying to rub it in re the weather 🙂 )! I think we’re just having a typical September – if it’s wet outside maybe people won’t be too tempted to go wandering around during conference…
I’d choose the mindless fiction!
Thanks, Dee. Is the convention centre hardcore, is it??
The convention centre is big (and not all that pretty), which makes the idea of giving a talk there sound a little more full on. 🙂 In a good way!
Dee, it is pretty big…
