I’ve just realised today’s the actual day of the Mooncake Festival.
It’s lunchtime at the moment and I’m sitting indoors on a glorious spring day, thinking about food. I think I actually overdosed on mooncakes last week so I don’t feel the urge to indulge in any more of them. Instead I’ll just stick to virtual mooncakes, courtesy of Helen (Augustus Gloop) in Sydney. I’ve just had one too many red-bean-with-one-egg-yolk cakes this time around; I ‘m definitely not as vehemently anti-mooncake as Hong Huang in China is!
I’ll try and remember to gaze at the moon this evening.
* Picture is Helen’s also! Check out her great food blog – she always makes me want to go to Sydney…

I’m looking at the beautiful moon on a lovely clear night here in NZ.
🙂
The moon was beautiful here on Friday night – perfectly round and very bright!
