Found in Oxford St Books: this postcard, Tamago (2000) by the artist Yoshitomo Nara. It’s one of a series published as a collection: Oh! My God! I Miss You: 30 Postcards.
I just thought it was a cute postcard when I saw it; I had never heard of the artist before. (Nice to learn something new!)
I love the little girl’s expression. At first glance, she looks sweet and innocent, but maybe she’s just been caught with her hand in the cookie jar…

I love Nara’s art, too! ‘Tamago’ means ‘egg’ in Japanese. Maybe she’s got a mouthful of boiled egg. Heh.
Ah! The other phrase that came to mind: “butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth…”
