Did I just say there were no memes around? Spotted this on Pavlov’s Cat and Moment to Moment.
1. When you looked at yourself in the mirror today, what was the first thing you thought?
“Hmm… should’ve washed my hair.” (my hair is down to my bum; I don’t wash it everyday) Then, “Time to get a haircut”.
2. Favorite planet?
I don’t know. First impulse was Pluto (cos it’s so far away), but that’s not a planet any more is it?
3. Who is the 4th person on your missed call list on your cell phone?
Phone’s been switched off for days…
4. What is your favorite ring tone on your phone?
Plain ol’ bring bring.
5. Do you “label†yourself?
Yes.
6. What does your watch look like?
Round and silver. I’ve had it since I was about 12. I don’t wear it much.
7. What were you doing at midnight last night?
Running around the house because Baubles the Cat was growling and I thought the Russian Blue next door had got in the cat flap. I was expecting two puffed up kitties in the kitchen but the cat flap was locked, and Baubles the Cat was growling at the Russian Blue who was outside. Usually I am fast asleep.
This morning the Russian Blue was standing at the back door gazing in. Luckily Baubles was having a drink of water and didn’t see him.
8. What did your last text message you received on your cell say?
Happy birthday! (Yes it was a while ago…)
9. What’s a word that you say a lot?
Geez… (is that a word?)
10. Last furry thing you touched?
Baubles the Cat.
11. Favorite age you have been so far?
28. But then every year since then has been good.
12. Your worst enemy?
Myself.

A raindrop on a blade of grass. Yay for Flickr!
14. What was the last thing you said to someone?
Something mushy to M which I am not repeating here.
15. If you had to choose between a million bucks or to be able to fly what would it be?
Fly!
16. Do you like someone?
Huh? Yes?
17. The last song you listened to?
Eine kleine nachtmusik. Is that a song? Before that, Speed of Sound by Coldplay.
18. What time of day were you born?
Early morning, I believe. Mum told me but I can’t recall exactly.
19. What’s your favorite number?
Three. (I don’t really have a favourite number.)
20. Where did you live in 1987?
In this city.
21. Are you jealous of anyone?
No.
22. Is anyone jealous of you?
Why would they be?
23. Where were you when 9/11 happened?
M had picked me up from work (I’d done a late desk shift) and we’d just arrived home when the phone rang and M’s brother said “Switch on the telly!” and hung up. I remember seeing the plane hit the tower and thinking, “Is this a sick joke?” It was a news flash interrupting all the channels, so gradually I realised it wasn’t a joke… The next day at work everyone walked around all glum and really shocked.
24. Do you consider yourself kind?
I s’pose so.
25. If you had to get a tattoo, where would it be?
I don’t like tatts, they’re too permanent. Somewhere it could be hidden. In the small of my back?
26. If you could be fluent in any other language, what would it be?
German. Japanese. Spanish. Dutch. (See also linguaphile.)
27. Would you move for the person you loved?
Yes.
28. What’s your life motto?
It varies. “No one’s going to die” (good mantra for when I get all worked up about something that’s gone wrong or complicated). On good days: “It’s easier to ask forgiveness than it is to ask permission.”

32. Your first love: what is the last thing you heard about him/her?
I’m married to him. (Key mushy music)
33. How far back do you know about your ancestry?
Not far back at all. My gran says my paternal great great great grandmother was a Malay princess, but I don’t know if that’s just fanciful.
34. The last time you dressed fancy, what did you wear and why did you dress fancy?
A kebaya top, for my wedding. (See picture, above.)
35. Have you been burned by love?
Nah (see #32). I kind of smouldered a bit over certain people, when I was younger, I suppose. (or is that taking the whole burnt analogy too far?)
