While in Sydney we visited the Taronga Zoo.
A view of the elephants from the zoo cable car.
Lioness drinking. This reminded me of a particular cat.
We spent about three hours at the zoo, but I only took nine photos. Most of the time I was too busy looking at things to remember to take pictures. The silverback gorilla (leader of the zoo’s troop of gorillas) was awesome and had the most amazing expression on his face. I would have felt rude to point the camera in his face while he gazed at us humans. I’m sure it’s just me.

I must get myself to the Zoo one of these days… as soon as the school holidays are over!
It’s a great zoo – very extensive and beautiful grounds, and many of the enclosures are very naturalistic too. Their conservation and breeding programmes are very impressive, as well.
Dear CW, I’m delurking, since your excellent presentation on blogs at the ALIA conference last year and subsequent converation with you I’ve been reading your blog and I must say, my favourite feature has been your pictures of Baubles and tales (so to speak) of her doings. Are you coming to Information Online at the end of the month?
Hello Sheena, nice to “talk” with you again 🙂 Thanks for the feedback, I’m glad to hear you enjoy the Baubles posts. I always enjoy writing about that cat but I try not to overdo it. Unfortunately I won’t be going to Information Online. Will you be there? You might want to catch up with some lint folks if you are?
