Holidays almost over

I didn’t plan to have a break from the computer and from blogging, it just happened. I barely glanced at my subscriptions, didn’t read the news, and generally spent little time in front of the PC. I did build a massive galactic empire that conquered the known universe by cultural force alone (read: played Galactic Civilizations II), but that was it.

I did read – Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro, Peeps by Scott Westerfeld, The Falls by Ian Rankin, and am just about to finish Un Lun Dun by China Miéville. I love it when each book I choose to read happens to match my mood perfectly – these four books have been wonderfully enjoyable (although Never Let Me Go was a bit disturbing) and perfect holiday reading.

Today’s the last day of the Easter break. I’m about to go and look for a new jumper for winter (clothes shopping being a much disliked but necessary chore), M’s going to the movies with his Dad, and we’re going to the park with Paco this arvo.

Looks like you’ve knocked a few of those books off the list of must read 🙂

Glad to hear you had a good break – and that someone else finds clothes shopping a chore!

Penny, it’s a list I will never finish 🙂

Alison, hope you had a good break too. And yes I find clothes shopping arduous and boring :[
