Couldn’t seem to log in to the blog earlier, when I was trying to post. Everything took forever (I’m talking minutes) to load. Some sort of problem with my host, I suspect, as all the other sites I was idly looking at loaded fine.
It was very strange when I commented earlier. Somewhere the blog registered that I had commented – enough to generate the notification email that is delivered to my Gmail account everytime someone comments – even while I was still waiting for my comment to be submitted.
It seems as though it was only a temporary glitch, as everything’s back to normal now. However, it’s now time to get ready for work. I’ll try and write later in the day, during my lunch break.
I hope there’s a lull in the rain while I travel to work. It’s been raining very heavily since about 2:30am. There’s something very soothing about lying in a warm bed listening the rain on the roof, and your wee dog and your husband breathing in deep sleep next to you. Even if you know you’ll be tired all day from not sleeping from 2:30am onwards.

Well…I know about that rain at 2:30am too. I came home from Melb at 12:30am..caught up on lots of email..and then stayed up finishing Harry Potter. At 2:30am the heavy rain woke me up as I had nodded off while tryingto finish the last 10 pages or so. I had to go to bed and finish it this morning instead. Rats!
From your many late nights, I’m guessing you’re a night person Kathryn. Me, definitely a morning person. If I stay up late (past 11:30pm) I just feel groggy and unhappy. And if I sleep in I wake to a sense of loss – the morning’s gone forever…
