17. Don’t waste your breath proclaiming what’s really important to you. How you spend your time says it all.
To me this speaks of being clear what your priorities are and getting on with them. No need to justify to anyone else, except maybe yourself.
Funnily enough this also tells me why I’m always impatient with, and never care to engage in any talk/thought about the librarian stereotype. Who cares what some people think of us, or what we think of ourselves? Let’s get on with it!

People do get hung up on that one don’t they. I think it had a lot to do with this professional registration lark that LIANZA is pushing at present. I can’t see the point myself but I can see that I’m going to have to do it in order to increase my employability.. uh.. if that is a word.
