Sydney weekend

Behind the AppleM and I spent this past weekend in Sydney.

I love Sydney.

I love the busy-ness, the grime, the millions of people all going in the opposite direction to me.

I love the tall buildings, the narrow terrace houses, the windy streets.

I love the double-decker trains and the buses displaying names of unfamiliar suburbs.

I love George Street, Goulburn Street, Dixon Street, Broadway. Also Townhall, Central, Redfern, Dulwich Hill, Yagoona, Katoomba.

Haymarket, Surry Hills, Glebe, Rozelle, Bondi Junction, Parramatta, Leichhardt, Newtown.

I love the harbour, the bridge and the Opera House.

I love the restaurants and the cafes and the 7-11s on every corner.

I love Chinatown, the news kiosks and Kinokuniya.

I love the tall buildings.

I love the fact that a visitor can take the train from the airport, to get into the city. (Hear that, Perth?)

I love the glass staircase in the Sydney Apple Store.

I love being able to catch up with my sister and her husband when I visit.

Was so good to see you and M and spend some time. Wish the weekend could’ve been longer.
