I now have no time to be tired

The title of this post is just me trying to convince myself that I am not tired this morning. It doesn’t help that at the time of writing (5:43am) it was 0.9 degrees Celsius (33.6 degrees Fahrenheit) which is very cold for Perth. No doubt it will be all over the news this morning once people wake up. /sarcasm off (Did I say I was not going to write any more self-pitying posts?)

I have nothing to write about this morning because I still feel half asleep. I had thought of trying out Fiona’s suggestion with my article this morning, but I feel like just sitting here…

I am glad I have stopped playing MMORPGs. I would have less time to write (or read), and I don’t think the early rising experiment would work, because gaming time always conflicts with sleeping time. Mind you this morning it doesn’t really feel like the early rising experiment is working at all.

Oh, and I have to admit that I succumbed, and checked my spam for more poetry yesterday – and there was LOTS.

This post just confirmed that I can blog even when half asleep…

It is BLOODY cold! It was zero-point-something when I was just getting into the shower, around 5am.

Flaunt your prowess with words do ya? 😛

mooiness: i do believe we can indeed define that as ‘flaunting’. *ahem!*

i can’t believe how cold it has been recently in the west. it seems all topsy-turvy; in the old days, it was always the eastern states that experienced colder temps. or maybe just my imagination/faulty memory?

It was absolutely freezing this morning – a bit of frost inland, at my place. Even for me, a non-5am riser, it was damn hard to get out of bed, especially after nightmares after seeing War of the Worlds and imagining that eye thing (you’ll know what I mean when you see the movie) coming around the bedroom door…. if you can get up at 5 on a day like today, you’ll be laughing come summer!

Cyn: I didn’t realise you get up at 5am!

Mooiness and Cherry: I don’t know what you two are on about! *looks stupid*

Cherry, re the cold over here, I think we usually have one or two cold spells over here each winter. Maybe us sandgroper types whinge a lot louder cos it’s usually quite pleasant here?

Kylie, I haven’t seen War of the Worlds yet – worth seeing? And yes, at the moment the only thing that’s sustaining my 5am wake-up is the thought of 5am in December 🙂

oh yeah. on days i go to uni i get up at 5am, leave house before 6 to catch train, then bus, to get into uni just after 7am. when the weather is cold and hasn’t been particularly sunny in winter i have to get up BEFORE 5am to switch on the booster for our hot water (we have solar)so that it will be hot enough for a shower at 5am. usually mobile alarm goes off at 4:30 for me to switch on booster, back to bed and then 5am clock radio alarm goes off to wake me up a second time.
