I wasn’t sure if I had anything to write about this morning, precisely because I have had so much in my mind that I could write about this week. I seem to have been observing everything that’s happened from the point of view of how I could report it here (or not). Memories and random thoughts, too, have been considered in the same way: “Now how would I blog about this?” This usually happens while I am doing other things, so I don’t write any of the ideas down, and usually I don’t even remember them later.
Because it’s Saturday I have been spending the morning pottering and with no particular aim. Thought about lots I could write about:
- Responses to other people’s posts – longer responses than I would leave as a comment. There is so much being written nowadays out there in Blog Land and so much I would like to respond to, but only so many hours in a day and it’s quite hard to keep up with it all.
- Other projects I would like to start on. Oh wait, some of them I really shouldn’t write about here.
- Reminiscences. Lots of them, now that I’ve started looking at my old diary. (Cherry, d’you know I have one of your old diaries here? It’s the green book, with the words Memories/There’s a lovely little garden/In a corner of my heart/Where happy dreams are gathered,/To nevermore depart on the cover. I think it got saved when Casa Main Street was vacated.)
- Ruminations. On various topics, ranging from my vast myriad of interests through to things that I have always wondered about.
- And all the stuff you can read about on other people’s blogs – that alone would be enough to sustain a blog, I think.
Yes, this morning I got sucked into that Blog Spectacular that is Go Fug Yourself, and spent a lot of time giggling at some of the fashion disasters posted there. And that was after taking a look at The Dullest Blog in the World (from DailyKos).

You have an old diary of mine? Crikey! Bet that’s rivetting reading – NOT!
Actually I have been very good and haven’t read it! I must admit I was tempted, but it didn’t feel right somehow.. you can grab it next time you are in Perth 🙂
