I seem to have lost my staff ID card. This is very annoying because 1) I need the card to get in and out of the Library, 2) it will cost $15 to get a new one, and 3) the key to my office was on the same cord that the card was hanging off. This card is my FOURTH one. I lost cards 1 – 3, and card 4 was the one I got when I changed my name after getting married.
The key is another thing again – it was one of those do not copy type keys, and I have no idea what will happen if I report it missing…
Yesterday when I got to work, I found that I didn’t have my card on me. Thought it was just my usual forgetfulness.
At home I’ve looked everywhere I can think of, checked pockets and so forth, but no card. I’ll have to get myself let into my office this morning and see if I left it there. Fingers crossed!!
Postscript 7:08am: FOUND IT! It was in the pocket of the shirt I wore to work on Wednesday. I never put anything in that pocket, usually… (Obviously I hadn’t checked ALL pockets.)

Hooray! It happens. Do you guys have one those that clip onto the waist and can be stretched in and out – one of those self-recoiling things?
Good you found the card. Annoying when those things go missing. I always try to keep my pass in the same place in my bag, or in the same pocket of my jacket, otherwise, i’m sure i’d be losing it regularly.
Mooiness, I had one of those clip on stretchy things – that’s how I lost 2 cards! Now I wear my card around my neck, and it’s attached to the cord with a metal ring…
Cherry, yes I always try and keep my card in the same place – except when I don’t, of course 😛 (M is always telling me the same thing!)
