I love Saturday mornings.
I love the feeling of having two whole days to do not very much at all.
On Saturday mornings I
- still get up at 5am but it’s relaxed
- have a cooked breakfast because there’s time
- sit around and read
- watch cartoons
- listen to music while doing the laundry
- think about what I could do, but maybe won’t
This morning I also enjoyed listening to the rain on the roof.
Having said that I love having two days off, I have to go to work tomorrow (why on earth did I volunteer?). I also volunteered to go to work next Saturday. Two good things about such foolhardiness: 1) brownie points, and 2) I get even more Time Off In Lieu. Ah well, more time to sit around and ruminate!

Baubles the Cat is a cat who really knows her mind. Her current favourite spot is on a rug that’s on a couch. This morning I thought I’d sit on the couch next to her spot, and read. Baubles was having a snack when I sat down. When she finished she came over to the couch to have a nap in her spot, and saw that I was sitting next to it. She meowed at me, nipped my ankle and hopped up onto the rug. She stood there and did a half meow, half growl and glared at me. I got the message and got up off the couch. It is not comfortable to sit and read when you have six kilos (around 13 lbs) of Fluffy Felineness glowering at you. As soon as I got up she snuggled into her spot, and started purring.
I don’t think M would let Baubles the Cat get away with such behaviour! CW, on the other hand, is a pushover, and is at the bottom of the pecking order in the W household.

Wow is this coincidence or what … two blogs that I read both mentioned cats today. Allow me to point to that entry. π
Baubles: I always feel like i should approach her on bended knee or something.
Mooiness: thanks π
Cherry: Yes, you should!
*Sigh* another funny anonymous link. At least this one looks like a proper site – last week I deleted a comment with a link to a spam blog, all about ceiling fans…
Do you guys get spam comments on your blogs too?
My cousin in NYC (the one we stopped over at) has two very fat cats and they look very much pampered like your Baubles. One of them, completely black with yellow-green eyes would sit on a stool and watch us as we talk from one person to the other as if she understood what’s going on. I found it to be slightly unnerving and funny too.
Spam comments: I don’t get them, at least not yet anyway. Sometimes they can be quite sneaky and put the comment in an older post. It’s all to do with the way Google ranks a site – the more links to it, the higher it is.
And Google doesn’t care that it’s in an older post. So just turn on the comments’ email notification feature and delete them as they come in.
So should i feel special that i get them too??? π
Israd, I’m sure cats understand what we’re saying!
Mooiness and Miss L, I am trying to feel special that I’ve got them…
Oh I HATE spam comments! I presume there must still be people who actually click through the spam links and make it worth the spammers’ while to keep spamming.
Ya.. spammers are such a waste of time and space! :[
