How am I ever going to be an uber-blogger if I neglect photo opportunities that come my way? Just thinking of the incident I observed at work yesterday (it was Open Day on campus) during which a tiny Jack Russell puppy was shown a balloon which unfortunately burst in the wee mite’s face – the balloon was somewhat bigger than the puppy, and poor pup was quite traumatised by the explosion. I could have taken before, during, and after shots, but the camera was locked away in my bag.
I could also have taken pictures of M being mobbed by three kids who wanted to be taught how to juggle. Or pictures of MR getting attacked by juggling clubs. Or M could have taken pictures of me stuffing my face with rogan josh. Ok, maybe the lack of camera was a good thing…
I’ve been getting sick of the unrelenting brown background of this blog and have been thinking about tweaking the colour scheme a bit. Might have done something if I had’ve had more than half a weekend this past weekend… and seeing as next weekend is going to be even busier, I think we might be stuck with this look for a while yet.
Why am I thinking of uber-bloggerness, you may ask? (Yes, I know I’m deluded.) Karen Cheng and Tama Leaver both brought to my attention the fact that 31 August is International Blog Day! (31 August is also Malaysian Independence Day.) And we are actually going to have a West Australian Blog Awards Night?? Any Perthites going?
*It is very sad when trying to think up a title for a post takes longer than the actual writing of the post!
