I’m in

Just checked my work email and found the following email from the ALIA Click 06 Conference Secretariat:

We are pleased to advise that your submission has been accepted by the Abstract Reviewing Committee for a thirty minute ORAL presentation at the Conference. Listed below are your abstract details:

Presentation Details Title: CREATING COMMUNITY: THE BLOG AS A NETWORKING DEVICE

Paper Status: Accepted

Presentation Type: Oral Presentation

Theme: Innovation

Authors: Constance Wiebrands

Please note, presenters will be allocated 30 minutes (including question time) to present their paper. The deadline for full peer-reviewed papers to be forwarded to Congress West is Friday 5 May, 2006 [Update 18 April: the deadline is now Friday 26 May 2006. I feel a bit better. I think.]. The deadline for full paper submission for all other papers to be forwarded to Congress West is Friday 30 June, 2006.

Oh, there are not one but TWO emails from the conference secretariat. The second lets me know that the other paper my colleague JW and I submitted in a moment of madness, Collaboration and Communication via Wiki (our library’s experience), has also been accepted.

I can’t remember whether I ticked the peer-review option for both papers.

I’m strangely calm at the moment.
