Moving house

Been a bit quiet here lately because it’s been a bit busy.

(I actually initally spelt that here as hear. I seam to be doing that a bit lately. Did you sea that? Strange…)

Started off the weekend intending to have a quiet lazy decadent one, as it was my birthday on Sunday. However the laziness did not last very long, as we’re now in the throes of moving house. Thankfully, the new house is not very far away – just down the back! – so it’s not going to be too arduous (I hope).

We slept in the new house last night, but we haven’t moved everything over yet so we’ll be moving back and forth between the two houses for a few more days. I had a shower in the new bathroom, made a cuppa and brought it back up to the old house, because we haven’t yet got broadband in the new house.

Baubles the Cat has officially moved over. She wasn’t very happy at the upheaval but seems to be okay. She slept between us last night after having her favourite meal. I bribed her with some of her all-time favourite treat, Dine Seafood Selection in a Tuna Mornay, which did help to settle her a bit. (Baubles LOVES this, described as A delightful selection of sumptuous seafood that has been gently cooked in its own juices, then blended with a mouth-watering cheesy tuna sauce. She’d happily eat it every single day if we’d let her, I think.)

Hopefully we’ll have broadband set up at the new house imminently. While Baubles the Cat is happy with her seafood selection, her humans want their favourite thing – The Net!

Heck, with that description, I might eat those treats (haha). Hope the move continues to settle well. Best, and keep on blogging.

What happened to the tenants?

We gave them the boot. Actually feel a bit sorry for them cos its so hard to get a rental here in Perth atm. The last we saw them they were looking quite stressed 🙁

The new house is pretty much bog standard 90’s house which is nice in some ways but so boringly conventional in others. We’ll stay there at least a few years and then likely move on again. Gonna miss the old house…

Angel, you should hear Baubles the Cat when she eats her favourite treat – I never knew a cat could slurp and smack her lips before we got Dine Seafood Selection in Tuna Mornay!

jl, M makes it sound so harsh. We gave them notice – I suppose it had the same effect as giving them the boot. I feel bad about it because they were very nice tenants who looked after the place really well and were never late with the rent 😐 Next time you visit you’ll be staying in quite a different place!

Happy birthday! I had mine on Monday.

Happy birthday!

I always smile at the cat food descriptions… they are so obviously for the human, yet we are seduced by them 😉 My cat will not eat anything other than Jimbos fresh veal and the odd cat biscuit. No other at food will pass his lips. He is also bulimic… not a nice sound in the middle of the night to hear and know that the next time I get up to visit the smallest room I am likely to step in it. ugh ugh ugh. I don’t know if that is worse than knowing he sometimes reconsumes it… *wince*

Hi CW,

First, “Happy Birthday”!

Second, “Happy Moving”! Well, moving house is always traumatic for everyone, particularly the pets. I know my dog, Jeremiah, took quite a while to get used to our (then) new place. Hope you’ll get net access at your new place soon. Otherwise, M would have to trudge home in the middle of the night after playing WoW. 🙂

Happy belated birthday, JL! 🙂 Hope you had a great day.

Thanks Penny – and eeuuugghhh!!!

Thanks Isaak. We’re both hoping net access is up and running ASAP. Did I tell you I’ve succumbed and am playing WoW again? 😉

Heehee … that’s good. Then you and M can play together. Welcome back to WoW gaming!
