Spring clean

I had a bad headache yesterday that interrupted my day (Mum reckons it was a migraine – it came complete with light flashes, nausea, sensitivity to sound, and resistance to painkillers). Happily I am feeling much better today (although my head still feels ever so slightly tender).

The headache disrupted my box-emptying process – we’ve finally moved all the boxed stuff from my old study into my new study. It’s starting to look very cosy, if I do say so myself.

I’m going through my boxes and boxes and boxes of papers and discarding lots of things that have moved from house to house with me – they have sat in their boxes for years and not been looked at, and I decided it was finally time to part. These include papers from university (from every single course I’ve done) through to TAFE (I didn’t realise how many notes I took, and kept, from my time as an apprentice chef). I’ve also found a number of old diaries which I think I will keep for the time being. Along with some letters, cards and photos.

I’m not too sure what I’ll do with these, though: a camera, casette walkman and portable cd player. I’d forgotten that I still even had them! Are they even worth keeping?

Amazing, I still have the exact same Walkman. Don’t use it, but I still have mine too.

I suppose it’s worth keeping for the time being, in case I ever need to listen to anything on tape…

on the headache: that sounds a lot like the kind i get from time to time. i refer to them as migraines though i have never had a doctor tell me so. i just imagine if it feels THAT bad, it must be a migraine.

i find ibuprofen and paracetamol (one of each) can help.

Hi Juji, ya, I’m guessing it was a migraine… luckily I don’t get them too often! Hope all’s well with The Fluffy One and she isn’t giving you guys a hard time!

i decided to use your bath this afternoon because it was pretty warm, and baubles stared longingly at the bathwater the whole time i was in there.

after i stepped out, i was towelling myself off, and as i went to pull out the plug baulbles leaned over the edge to lap up some water (or try to) and fell into the tub !

she was a bit peeved when i pulled her out.

Haha! That was bound to happen eventually – she has been looking longingly at the bath for ages and it was only a matter of time.. was she soaking wet? 🙂
