Thanks…

… for:

  1. cherries.
  2. garlic. Was enjoying the fragrance as I chopped some up for our dinner last night. I should try and grow some, like Clare.
  3. tofu. Had some for dinner last night. Made up recipe with yellow bean sauce, hot bean sauce, and shaoxing wine.
  4. mangoes.
  5. icy poles.

All food, heh.

Morning Kate! How could I forget about cold beer?? Mmmm… beer… (Homer Simpson voice).

(Was going to comment on your echidna on Twitter, but the Fail Whale appeared.) Echidna – how amazing!!! Don’t think I have ever seen one in the WA bush.

Speaking of fruit, it’s time for breakfast πŸ™‚

icy poles
<squints at definition>
Is that just what we call an iceblock in Kiwiland?

Rachel 6 January 2009

keeping with the theme, my thanks is for:

1. my morning latte
2. chocolate
3. chicken schnitzel sandwiches
4. cheese – any kind doesn’t matter, all is good
5. nectarines – my favourite stonefruit

Penny 6 January 2009

Amen.

1. Morning flat white
2. Summer stone fruit incl. fresh plums off my tree out the back.
3. Freshly picked sweet corn from my garden.
4. Icy cold Lemon Z with Schweppes Classic Dry Lemonade
5. Aunty Ena’s sponge with cream and passionfruit icing

Matt 6 January 2009

Love anything with mangoes! As for me the bare necessities:

1. morning coffee
2. sushi – especially yellowtail and eel
3. avocado
4. tiramisu
5. Thai curry

Akkadis 6 January 2009

Hmm…

1. roast potatoes
2. rooibos tea
3. chocolate
4. mum’s heavenly apple pie (it’s got sugar syrupy something on top, mmm)
5. mandarins

CW 6 January 2009

Deborah – I think so. We’re talking frozen juice/lolly water on a stick, right?

Rachel, I love nectarines too. This season they seem to be a bit ho-hum, though. Maybe the weather?

Penny what is Lemon Z? And Aunty Ena’s sponge sounds divine!

Matt (thanks for stopping by), mmmmmmmm….. sushi….. sushi with avocado even…

Akkadis that apple pie sounds yum!

I love your gratitude posts, CW.

And for food:

1. cheap raspberries!! how great!

2. white peaches

3. cherries

4. good coffee (which I did NOT get today, but look forward to later in the week – in fact getting a terrible one made me appreciate the better stuff all the more)

5. marinated steak cooked on a Weber, which I also did not get as husband had a misadventure with his firelighters and I ended up grilling it inside.
But it was a good idea, and we ate outside anyhow.

Sorry to OT-post here, but the old Blogger blog didn’t want me to post a comment:

“This is sort of old, but I added a link to this page on my most recent post at The Kanji Hanzi Hub:

It’s a story about what happened when I started to look for the Multifunction Pen, a really weird Saga!!!”

CW, yes, that’s right. Fascinating, I’d never heard that term before.

Food:
1. Cadbury’s Old Gold liqueur-centered blocks of chocolate, a recent discovery.
2-5. I’ll have to think about a bit more. πŸ™‚
