Ugh, my mother loves that salt licorice stuff (though I think she calls it salmiak or something, she has Dutch parents) I’ve never been able to stomach even normal licorice. It was always our typical mother’s day thing for her as we were growing up – half a kilo of salt licorice and a pair of socks, running family joke.
I recall buying some of that licorice when I was in Amsterdam for a friend in the US. Love the smell of licorice but hate the taste,
