For those of you doing #blogjune, some ideas for blog posts:
- What you’re hoping to achieve/learn/find out by doing #blogjune
- 3 things about you (or 5, or 10, or 25, or 100!) – help your readers get to know you
- If you’re doing the 23 Mobile Things, write about what you’ve learned so far (there’ve been a few topics already, you could write at least one post per topic)
- Blog your thoughts or response to a blog post you’ve read. For instance, I’m hoping to post something on Jan’s post on social media vacation.
- Find a meme and blog your response. A couple I can think of off the top of my head: Wordless Wednesday and Furry Friday (Actually, I suspect some of us will start these during the month. Watch out for them)
- Pick a quote you like and blog about why you like it. See, for example, Marcus Aurelius’s One Question to Beat Procrastination, Whining, and Struggle
- Write about your hobby or hobbies
- Tell us (what you like) about your job
- If you’ve been blogging for a while, look over an old post and write about how things have changed since the old post. Variation for you if you’re new to blogging: think about where you were 1, 3, 5, 10 years ago. What’s changed?
- For the tweeps: write more than 140 characters on something you’ve seen or been discussing on Twitter
You could also decide to pick a theme for your blog and start to build on that: a librarian’s blog, books, craft, food, photography, recipes, reviews… the possibilities are endless!
Is this enough to start with?
What are you planning to blog about?
