Writing avoidance

Morning. I woke at 4:33am. Dozed off again and woke up a second before the alarm went off. I wonder what causes you to wake up like that. I can’t remember any dreams I might have had. It was very very quiet (Baubles was not snoring). I don’t think I woke up because I had had enough sleep – I am quite tired this morning. Fell asleep at about 10pm last night, which means I have had around 6.5, 7 hours’ sleep.

I am writing despite completely lacking any inspiration this morning. I think I am feeling blank because I actually should be writing something else – that book review I was working on over the weekend is still waiting to be finished. The problem is that it is kind of hard to write a review of something that you haven’t read properly 😉

Ain’t that the truth? The problem with reading to review is that the review is the end goal, so you’re rushing to get that done, and the reading ‘suffers’.

Israd, I wish you were right! It is pitchblack at 5am at the moment. Because we are in winter at the moment, sunrise is at around 7:15am (sunset is at 5:15pm). In Western Australia summer is when the sun is up at 5am, and it sets between 6 and 7pm. It’s beautiful in the summer!
