The tablet is quite a nifty little thing really. Now that I’ve more or less gotten over my fear of damaging it everytime I look at it. The whole idea of being able to fold it and unfold it to use the keyboard or to detach the keyboard from the little screen took a bit of getting used to. It’ll be great once wireless is set up on it and I can use it anywhere around the house or around campus. This morning I played Spider Solitaire on it while writing on the PC. (Not sure if that’s the sort of use I’m supposed to make of the tablet, though…)

My posts have been a little unfocussed these past few days because of too many distractions and not enough time. I’ve actually got a lot I’d like to write about but I need the time to sit and write properly. Normally I’d set aside some time for proper writing on the weekend, but last weekend was so busy and this weekend is going to be busier. I have to go to work tomorrow (Saturday), and then on Sunday we are having a mega-birthday brunch celebration, at our place. M’s, Mum’s, A’s, and JS’s birthdays! (A is my sister-in-law, JS is the boyfriend of my sister J.) It should be fun!
Work has been really busy this week as well. Lots of appointments with students, lots of meetings, and no time to do any writing. The problem is compounded by the fact that whenever I sit at my desk I get interrupted. Emails you can leave to deal with later, but phone calls and people popping in to just ask a wee question, you can’t. I’m still resisting the urge to bring work home for the weekend.
I was actually physically exhausted by the end of yesterday because I had to run between the faculty I am liaison librarian for, and the library, several times. Well, I didn’t actually run, but I did also make myself take the stairs wherever possible. I think I could definitely use more exercise. Note to self for when the sun rises at 5am: get out and do some exercise.

I’m glad to see that i’m not alone in having had a hectic week. I’m so glad it’s Friday! (Am gutted i’ll be missing the birthday mega-celebration. Do have some cake for me!)
It’s a pity you missed it. We had so much food – chicken and pork chipolatas, beef sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, pancakes with maple syrup, many varieties of bread, apples, pears, grapes, starfruit, strawberries, kiwi fruit, tea, coffee, apple juice, orange juice, and butter cake with lemon icing.
Still, the September celebration should be even more mega π
Hope so! π *bouncing up and down with excitement*
Is Mister J going to come to Perth too?
