Hot!

Was I actually stupid enough to complain that the mild weather we had in December was not normal, and where were the hot days??

Well, the hot weather has arrived, with a vengeance. It’s only been a couple of days, but I’m already tired of 35°C (95°F) temperatures. Today’s been humid as well, so I’ve been all sticky and sweaty. (And have had three showers already, trying to keep cool.)

And if us humans think we have it bad, at least we don’t have to lug around a thick fur coat everywhere we go: poor Baubles the Cat is completely wrung out and floppy and can’t do much beyond trying to find cool spots around the house.

Poor Baubles – ‘wrung out’ is a most apt description indeed.

Yes Cherry, she actually looked rung out. Her fur was all ruffled and lank looking. As soon as it cooled down she was back to fluffy.

How is hot like down under?

Is it hot and humid like in Malaysia or hot and dry?

The beaches must be packed with people at this time right or are they all spooked by that shark attack??

Israd, Australia is such a big place that the weather varies depending on where you are. Perth’s summers are usually hot and dry. On the rare occasion it is humid as well (and when you have 36 degree temperatures and high humidity it is quite awful). The beaches are usually packed, shark attacks can’t keep people away for long!
