Back at work today, after two glorious weeks off. I hope I remember what I’m supposed to be working on. (Actually it’s all coming back to me with a horrid rush as I sit here. *sigh* ) I suspect it will be relatively quiet at work, as many people will still be on holidays, and there won’t be many students on campus.
I’ve enjoyed these holidays, although I’ve only done a fraction of what I’d planned to. I’ll definitely miss:
- daily afternoon naps
- morning games (WoW, Civ 4…)
- reading (I’ve read five books)
- daily meal excursions. There’s something so pleasant about going out for a meal every day.
(Those four things sum up my days during these holidays, actually. How decadent!)
And I wonder if Baubles the Cat will miss having us around, all day, every day. She’s been spending the days sitting in my room with me, and following M around the house, like a puppy. I’ll think about her at home, in the heat in her fur coat, while I’m enjoying the airconditioning at work.

Glad you had a good two weeks off. I always judge my hols by the number of books read – and five is pretty decent. The last time I did that i.e. had a proper holiday was a couple of years ago. Hope yoir first day back at work was fine, too.
