Having the occasional lazy day off is good for the soul, I’ve decided. I had the day off yesterday, and mostly did as I pleased.
Sat around website-hopping for much of the morning.
Cooked myself breakfast.
Bought a present for our nephew whose birthday is tomorrow. I am still not convinced that Ultimate Spiderman #2 is going to work as a suitable gift for a three year old… (His Mum says he loves super hero comics. I looked around for comics suitable for three year olds but couldn’t spot anything that fit the bill. Granted, I have no idea what comics are suitable for three year olds – it was more a case of knowing what I didn’t want. In the end I chose something that didn’t have anything particularly scary or violent in it.)
Picked up a copy of Carol Berg‘s Daughter of Ancients for nephew’s Mum. I seem to have developed a minor role as book supplier for some family members, providing fantasy novels to some, and crime novels to others. I like this role!
Had a two hour afternoon nap and was still lounging around when M got home. Baubles the Cat greeted him at the door.
Watched three episodes of The Shield while having a junk food dinner. (Good series. Very realistic violence. Detailed portrayal of gangs in Los Angeles, which seems like an alien world – a far cry from Hollywood.)
Three-day week this week. In fact, I’ll be having three-day work weeks for the rest of April – I could get used to this!
