Mo mo mo

I noticed that several bloggers I read regularly were posting rather more regularly than usual, but thought nothing of it. Then, reading Personal Political, I realised that it’s November and NaBloPoMo – National Blog Posting Month. The idea is ” Post every day for the month of November. That’s all you have to do.”

Funny how the name says National Blog Posting Month. I’m guessing it’s American in origin, but I don’t think there are any restrictions on location, as such.

Apparently it’s also DrawMo (Draw Month? Draw More?). This started as an attempt “to make (and, ideally, post) at least one drawing per day during the month of November 2006”.

I do like the idea of drawing more – I used to draw a lot but over the years I seem to have lost the habit. Can I use this month to get back into the swing of things, I wonder? If I managed to draw everyday and posted these everyday I would be doing both NaBloPoMo and DrawMo. Heh.

Both these monthly targets inspired by NaNoWriMo, of course. It’s also Movember – where guys grow a moustache over the month to raise money for men’s health.

What is it about November?

Constance, I think it’s the only mo that rhymes with ‘mo’, no?
Doing my own November writing thing – I don’t want to go in the comp, but it’s a good catalyst for trying to get some writing time happening.
Don’t think I could possibly blog every day, though, unless someone was paying me 🙂

Thanks Peta – that was the idea (Kathryn suggested it, actually). I need to get a better picture so we can see more of the nibs.

Genevieve, you’re right, of course 😉 I used to blog everyday – seem to have gotten out of the habit lately, but I’ll see if I can get back into the swing of things this month.
