Off to Thredbo

Leaving for Aurora today. Spending tonight in Sydney at jadedlotus’s. Canberra and Thredbo tomorrow. Looking forward to meeting Kate next week.

I don’t know how much blogging I’ll manage to do while I’m away, but I do intend to write when I can. We’ll see if there’s anything worth transcribing into electronic format.

Five things I am grateful for:

  1. sunrise. My favourite time of day.
  2. the mobile phone. I left my phone home yesterday and boy was it inconvenient not being able to quickly send an SMS! I kept telling myself to reflect on the fact that the mobile-phoneless-state is how I lived for most of my life and I was fine…
  3. air travel. I know I complain about cattle class and how uncomfortable plane seats are, but it would take so much longer to get places without planes.
  4. chai latte
  5. hugs.

Enjoy the experience, CW.
Grateful for party pies, gyms, nieces, my brother, and daughters who send emails in the middle of the week.

Take a tip from me – do not use your computer while you are away. At all. Not even to check email. Certainly no blogging. This is a time to reflect and disconnect.

Besides you’ll be so tired you won’t want to blog anyway 😉

Have had an amazing week – and I now know why people don’t really talk about Aurora. It’s a huge overwhelming exhilarating personal experience, and it’s really hard to talk about it!
