Because you can never have too many books

Stopped in at the South of the River Save the Children Booksale on Thursday night. We weren’t there for long but I still managed to pick up 33 books.

The picture shows 29 of them.

Finds:

  • Four of Doris Lessing‘s Children of Violence series. At 50 cents each they were a bargain. The paperbacks aren’t in the best condition, but I now have the complete series.
  • The blind assassin by Margaret Atwood. Have wanted to read this for a while. In fact, there are a number of books in this pile that I have wanted to read for a while.
  • On Chesil Beach by Ian McEwan. Hard cover edition for $1.00!
  • 1984 edition of Kamus Dewan. Malay language dictionary. $4.00.
