U is for…

Okay, now we’re really coming to the difficult letters.

I was going to do Us and take a picture of my household, but it’s still dark and they’re all still in bed.

Some of my friends are learning Ukulele, but I’m not, so I haven’t got much to say about that.

What U words are there?? U-boat. Unicorn. Umbrella. Unbend. Unhinge. Lots of un- words. (Is an un- word still a word? Sorry. Bad pun.)

I got so desperate I even dug out my old Australian Little Oxford Dictionary (in which I have helpfully noted on the front page that the book became mine on the 21st July 1987, and the price was $8.95).

And lo, there are some great U words.

I sometimes think (some) people think of me as an Upstart. I hope I’m never slow on the Uptake. I’ve always been an Urban dweller. And may the work I do always be Useful.

Ommm…

Now, that wasn’t so hard, was it?? (Note to self: I lay in bed and agonized about what I was going to write. Nothing happened until I stopped thinking about it, and got up and wrote something. WRITE SOMETHING. Remember, for next time.)

I have no idea what I’m going to write for V, X, Y and Z. (W, I got you covered.)
