I just couldn’t live without…

… the way you make me feel everyday. Warm, loved, a part of something bigger.

You give me so many ways to be more myself. To learn and change and grow.

Yes, I learn a lot from you everyday and I can’t imagine life without you.

Sure, we waste a lot of time together too. You can be so full of silliness and time-wasting nonsense. Sometimes I have to put my foot down and ignore the crap.

And I hate it when you show me some of the worst aspects of people’s behaviour. We can be so ignorant, unfeeling, and horrible to each other, can’t we? Opportunistic and grasping. Selfish. Hateful. Stupid.

But no, no, let’s not get focussed on all the bad. I wouldn’t want to forget how you’ve encouraged me to try new things. To play. To meet other people. You remind me how vast the world is.

And you know, maybe I could live without you. I’ve lived without you before, after all. But why would I want to? Life would lose much of its colour, without you.
