Eggs and tea

If I only had one type of food and one type of drink for the rest of my life, what would I want?

Eggs and tea.

I’d decline pretty quickly, I think, because eggs are not nutritionally complete, are they? But at least they can be prepared in different ways. Soft- or hard-boiled, poached, scrambled, baked, fried, omelettes. That’s what I’m hoping would keep me going – the slight variation in how the eggs are prepared. I do like eggs. They would get pretty boring pretty quickly, though, I imagine.

And tea? Just plain black tea would do me. That’s how I drink it now, and I like it. I’m not a coffee drinker so wouldn’t miss that. I would miss beer, though.

Life would get pretty dull pretty quickly. The dullness wouldn’t just be from malnutrition. Social events would lose much of their interest.

And I’m sure I’d miss chips.

This post made me LOL because just yesterday J and I had a conversation about the ways in which we liked our eggs cooked; the conversation was sort of like an echo of your list, with boiled being first, etc etc.

We’ve been eating eggs every morning in Marrakech… And drinking lots of mint tea.

And how do they prep eggs in Marrakech?
