Oh yes! Congee is the ultimate in wintery comfort food for me – with lots of ginger! I do like to thinly slice up some fish or chicken and let it poach in the hot porridge as well…
The version I had in the photo was simple jook with trimmings. Next I might have to make pork and century egg jook. And maybe even add some you tiao… Fish porridge with ginger OMG.
