LiberryDwarf says this is a SuperMeme.
I don’t know how super it is – for me it’s more of a procrastination device. Why am I procrastinating on a Sunday, you ask? Because I am trying to write a paper, that’s why!
1. Name one person who made you laugh last night?
M. I don’t actually recall if he made me laugh last night, but he routinely makes me laugh so I think this is a safe guess.
2. What were you doing at 0800?
Most unlike me, but today I was still lying in bed at 0800. I think this is related to the whole procrastination thing.
3. What were you doing 30 minutes ago?
Having a shower.
4. What happened to you in 2006?
I had to cheat and look it up, as nothing came to mind. Because my paper diaries are all in the loft and I can’t be bothered to look for them, I cheated and looked through this blog in 2006. A few things: I was blogging a helluva lot more than I do now; I was not working as a manager yet; 2006 was the year I first gave a presentation at a conference (two of them!).
5. What was the last thing you said out loud?
To M: “Would you like a tea?”
6. How many beverages did you have today?
Tea, tea, tea, a glass of Up and Go, and a glass of water.
7. What color is your hairbrush?
I don’t own a hairbrush! I use a comb. It’s black.
8. What was the last thing you paid for?
The groceries yesterday. Can’t remember how much they cost.
9. Where were you last night?
At home. We were going to go out for dinner but got lazy and had a pizza delivered.
10. What color is your front door?
White.
11. Where do you keep your change?
In a black leather coin purse.
12. What’s the weather like today?
Typical spring day. Blue sky interspersed with big fluffy clouds. It’s rained every now and again.
13. What’s the best ice-cream flavor?
My favourite, you mean? Vanilla with swirls of real strawberry through it.
14. What excites you?
Getting things in the post. The release of new gadgets and playing with new gadgets. Going away for a long weekend (Sydney is my preferred destination for such holidays).
15. Do you want to cut your hair?
By myself?? No. I had it cut about three weeks ago, I think…
16. Are you over the age of 25?
Yes. Well over.
17. Do you talk a lot?
When it’s about something that annoys me or that I’m passionate about, yes.
18. Do you watch the O.C.?
Um, I had to look this up. Obviously the answer is no!
19. Do you know anyone named Steven?
Yes, a few of them, actually.
20. Do you make up your own words?
Yes 🙂
21. Are you a jealous person?
Not really, I don’t think.
22. Name a friend whose name starts with the letter ‘A’.
Angela, my sister-in-law.
23. Name a friend whose name starts with the letter ‘K’.
Kathryn!
24. Who’s the first person on your received call list?
My sister.
25. What does the last text message you received say?
Do DMs from Twitter count? It was from a friend saying she looks forward to visiting and is happy to bring a plate.
26. Do you chew on your straw?
No. (What sort of meme is this!)
27. Do you have curly hair?
Nope.
28. Where’s the next place you’re going to?
The shops, to buy mooncakes and oysters!
29. Who’s the rudest person in your life?
Eh? Can’t think of anyone…
30. What was the last thing you ate?
Salt Sill, from Ikea.
31. Will you get married in the future?
I think this meme is showing its age again…
32. What’s the best movie you’ve seen in the past 2 weeks?
Unknown. The one with Liam Neeson and January Jones in it. A bit farfetched but well made.
33. Is there anyone you like right now?
What a stupid question. Too many people to name!
34. When was the last time you did the dishes?
Last night.
35. Are you currently depressed?
Nope. Discouraged, amused, incredulous, frustrated, annoyed, disappointed, sad, happy, excited, hopeful, gloomy, over/underwhelmed would all be words I would use to describe how I feel from time to time at the moment.
36. Did you cry today?
No.
37. Why did you answer and post this?
Because I like memes and I need to write, but can’t seem to write what I want to be writing!
UPDATE: The meme, as written by Tom, whom I first met in 2006 (see Q.4, above).
